In addition to its great cycling myth, such as the Gran Fondo Ézaro, Dumbría has a great wealth for the practice of mountain biking or mountain biking, with tracks suitable for the practice of this sport.
If someone had told us a few years ago that O Ézaro would become part of La Vuelta ciclista España, we would surely say that someone is dreaming. Well that dream became a reality in 2012.
A milestone that marked a before and an after throughout the county. A milestone that was repeated in 2013 and 2016 spreading our land, our cement ramp and our Costa da Morte. And if three occasions were not enough, in 2020 O Ézaro repeats in La Vuelta.
Of the taste when one dreams something beautiful, wakes up and is able to re-engage that dream… And if that dream becomes reality even better…

GREAT BACKGROUND ÉZARO
The Gran Fondo Ézaro is a crowded cycling event that takes place within the incomparable setting of the Costa da Morte. An incredible landscape, first-rate cultural and heritage values and a route as spectacular as it is demanding make this a unique test.
The route passes through the municipalities of Dumbría, Cee, Muxía, Vimianzo, Muros and Carnota in A Coruña, on the Costa da Morte, which accompany the corridor with beautiful landscapes and hard ascents. For the more daring, the long route is close to 150 km, while those who want to live a shorter version can opt for the short route, about 80 km. For 2020, the appointment is set for July 5th.
To its demanding route, with an end in the mythical “wall” of the Mirador do Ézaro, is added the environment, the values promoted by the organization and the name that, with the cultivated successes and the endorsement of the UCI, won the event attracting athletes from all over Spain and outside our borders, as well as to big names in this sport.
The City Council of Dumbría is a territory where land and sea play to mix with each other, giving rise to areas of incredible beauty. An option to get to know this territory, the vákner territory, is by mountain bike along any of the tracks along which the Dumbría BTT takes place every year .
Some even choose to do the Camino de Santiago by bike. A very practical and sustainable way to do it, especially for cycling enthusiasts.
